WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
The love retreat is a dedicated time for couples to come together to renew, revive and rejoice in love.
As a human being in a relationship, it’s not always easy or smooth. It can be messy, hurtful, and disappointing. And yet, it can also be supportive, sweaty, delicious, and kind. When two people are in a relationship, they create more together than they can on their own. We are ever-changing and evolving, and we expect that our relationship will grow and evolve naturally without effort. Of course, that is not true. Like anything you do not give your intention and attention to, it becomes stagnant and stale.
The Love Retreat will give you a foundation for creating passion and purpose by renewing your relationship and rebalancing the masculine and feminine energy in your relationship.
Relationship renewal is about creating a conscious intention, together, for your relationship. As a couple, David and Cynthia have a system they use every year to consciously choose and renew the relationship. Participants will take this system back home to be used the following year. Balancing the scales of masculine and feminine energy in your relationship sparks polarity, passion, and purpose of your true dominant energy to thrive.
WHAT IS RELATIONSHIP RENEWAL?
A relationship renewal is a dedicated time you and your partner/spouse set aside each year to consciously choose to renew, revive, and rejoice in the relationship.
RENEW – OUT WITH THE OLD

We are growing and changing and sometimes we stop ourselves from changing because we are afraid of what our partner/spouse will think.

Healing past wounds. It’s hard to create the future we want if we are holding onto things from the past. There may be past pain or wounds that we experienced in the relationship - things we are still holding onto, or cannot stop thinking about, regret or things we have not said or voiced. Letting go is loving the present and the future, providing incredible relief.
REVIVE – KEEPING THE PIPES CLEAN

A time to voice your desires of what you want for yourself and what you want for your partner/spouse. By stating out loud in ceremony what you want, you open your heart to receive the love and support from your partner/spouse.

Celebrate love and your partner/spouse. Celebrate where you are now and celebrate with a new chapter or story. As a couple, we do a vision board, together, every year to manifest shared goals with love.
BALANCING MASCULINE AND FEMININE ENERGY IN A RELATIONSHIP
This approach to personal development is the most effective we’ve experienced in 25 years in practice that we have used in our own lives (and continue to) and with our clients that consistently make changes that last. The process does not rely on willpower.
The Love Retreat will also help you access where in your relationship these energies might be out of balance.
The Masculine / Feminine represents the expression of two energetic polarities within each one of us. It is common to associate ‘the masculine’ with men, and ‘the feminine’ with women but these are not specific to gender and do not dictate sexuality; typically, we have both.
We embody both but tend to have a dominant core energy that is our authentic expression. If we suppress our authentic core dominant energy, we are out of balance.
When we are out of balance in a relationship we can fight for power, or be indecisive, and we become disinterested, distrustful, and lack passion.

Too much masculine energy in the relationship will cause fighting, tension, and competition.

Too much feminine energy in the relationship will cause indecisiveness and lack of direction.
We need polarity for passion. Polarity ignites the spark of intimacy.

What kills intimacy for men is being criticized, controlled, or shut out

Relationships are based on the need to feel loved. If a man is criticized, he will not feel loved and will withdraw from the world. If a woman is ignored, she will not feel loved and she will question the relationship.
